New MA Travel Rules, GBCVB Update 7.24.20

July 24, 2020

Good Afternoon,

This morning Governor Baker announced that starting August 1 a more restrictive and enforceable travel order will apply to travelers entering the Commonwealth.  Visitors arriving from eight designated states – New England, NY, NJ and Hawaii – are exempt from the new order.  Everyone else must comply, including Massachusetts residents who have traveled to states that are not on the designated exemption list.

Visitors and returning residents who are not exempt are required to fill out the MA Travel Form.  Those in this category have two options:  quarantine for 14 days upon entering Massachusetts or produce a negative COVID-19 test that was taken within 72 hours upon entry into the Commonwealth.

As always, we support Governor Baker and his steadfast leadership during this difficult period.  The Bureau will work with industry partners to do our part in making sure all visitors comply with the Governor’s order.
